 About KiddieKitRentals  In case you are wondering about us, we are an English mum/French dad family (I'm Nicole and my husband is Olivier) with a six year old daughter, Isabelle, and a toddler son, William (b.Jan '10). I started operating in July 2009. A lot of the equipment I started with was my daughter's (some we hi-jacked back for William!), plus I've topped up with some new, and only excellent quality second-hand, items along the way. I have lots of top brand-named equipment, all still in excellent condition. Reflecting this 'cottage industry' approach, rental prices are low - I want to make it worth your while to rent baby and toddler equipment necessities for your little ones instead of either having to buy it here or having to carry the extra flight weight and pay a small fortune for it! I am a small business, with a tiny turnover, but I do this because I like meeting people, helping out for the little ones' stays (I just LOVE putting the toy packs together!) and the sense of purpose it gives me. So please use me - as long as I just about break even I'm happy! :) Professionally, I'm registered as an auto-entrepreneur, have a SIRET number and annual comprehensive professional insurance. Your Questions Answered - Hygiene - all baby and toddler equipment is cleaned thoroughly and conscientiously between each rental.
- Condition - all baby and toddler equipment is in excellent working order.
- Philosophy - not to rent out anything I wouldn't let my own children sleep in, eat off, travel in, be protected by or play with.
- Where are we? We live in a small village called Espondeilhan, mid-way between Pézenas and Béziers in the Hérault, 34 (Languedoc Roussillon) region of France (near to the Mediterranean coastal resorts of Cap d'Agde, Agde, Marseillan, Serignan, Valros etc in the south-west). Subject to availability, I am prepared to deliver up to a maximum of 30km from Espondeilhan (see maps below for our exact location).
- What about delivery? The following information applies to delivery or picking-up of items at the end of the rental period. Most of my clients prefer to come to me, but I can, within reason, deliver to you. Due to my overheads, I can no longer offer free delivery. Sorry! Therefore delivered orders will cost 5€ each way within 10km of Espondeilhan, plus a small fee of 50c per km charged each way for deliveries outside this radius, up to 30km. So, for example, if you are located 20km from me 10km would be 5€ and 10km would be chargeable. 10km x 50c x 2 (there and back) = 15€.
- Do we take a deposit? Yes, we take a deposit in the form of cash or cheque for an amount that would reasonably cover approximate replacement costs of each item, refundable upon return and check of the item(s). The deposit and rental sum are due at the beginning of the rental period.
- Please note that, due to time and admin involved, there is a minimum order amount of 20€ (why not add a toy kit at 5€, if you're not quite there?).
Why buy (or carry) when it's this easy to rent? If you need any item of baby or toddler equipment that is not listed on our website or the downloadable equipment list itself, then please do call or email me as I am sure we'll be able to help you out, however large or small your request. All rentals totalling over 50€ will be lent a bag of boy/girl and age-relevant toys for free! (50€ deposit) * Please note that by law, we are not allowed to install car seats, but all come with clear instructions. I am constantly updating the site; if you spot any inconsistencies, please do feel free to point these out! Constructive criticism always welcome!
